Kristy Waller BScDH,RDH
Kristy is an “east coaster” from the beautiful province of Nova Scotia, where she was born and raised. She completed her post-secondary education at Mount Saint Vincent University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Biology.
Kristy’s passions for science and its application to health lead her to Dalhousie University School of Dentistry in Nova Scotia where she completed a Dental Hygiene Diploma program in 2003. During this time she was chosen to participate in the Labrador Grenfell Externship Program – providing dental hygiene services to remote area of Labrador.
After graduating from Dalhousie University, Kristy moved to Alberta and began her career as a dental hygienist in Calgary, Alberta. Kristy joined the Lifetime Smiles Dental Hygiene Clinic in 2010 – becoming an essential part of our team before the clinic even opened its doors, and has since found being an Independent Hygienist very rewarding. She feels that it gives her an opportunity to focus on educating and preventing oral disease, in addition to a flexible schedule that benefits her family life. Kristy enjoys working with people of all ages, and as a mother of two her experience with children shows in the clinic.
Staying current in many aspects of overall health is very important to Kristy, including alternative practices of care. Her clients would describe her as very open minded, kind and non-judgemental. She obtained her local Anesthetic course at University of Alberta in 2013 and is currently pursuing post graduate education in Oral Facial Myology. Kristy is an active member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology and provides treatment for myofunctional disorders.
